Dr. Denis Nissim-Sabat

Denis Nissim-Sabat is a professor emeritus of psychology at the University of Mary Washington (UMW). He began at UMW in 1976 and retired in 2013 and is a practicing clinical psychologist. In 1989, he was awarded a Congressional Science Fellowship by the American Psychological Association (APA) and served as a legislative assistant on health care issues in the office of Senator Paul Simon (D-Ill.). He has held numerous positions on APA's governance committees and served as senior policy adviser in the Public Policy Office of APA. He has a particular interest in psychology and social policy issues.
