Dr. David Hargrove

David S. Hargrove, PhD, ABPP, is professor emeritus of psychology at the University of Mississippi and formerly Kulynych Cline Distinguished Visiting Professor of Psychology at Appalachian State University. He is a member of the faculty of the Georgetown Family Center, Bowen Center for the Study of the Family, in Washington, DC. He currently consults with individuals and institutions from the perspective of Bowen family systems theory.

Dr. Hargrove is a past president of the American Orthopsychiatric Association. He completed his PhD at the University of Georgia with postdoctoral training at the Georgetown Family Center, Washington, DC. He is former member and chairperson of the Board of Educational Affairs and Committee on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association. He lives in Hiawassee, Georgia, and Milbridge, Maine.
