Dr. Louis Hoffman
Louis Hoffman, PhD, is a faculty member and director of the Existential, Humanistic, and Transpersonal Psychology Specialization at Saybrook University. Dr. Hoffman is a past president of the Society for Humanistic Psychology (American Psychological Association Division 32) and the current president of the Rocky Mountain Humanistic Counseling and Psychological Association. He has author/edited 10 books, including Existential Psychology East-West and Stay Awhile: Poetic Narratives on Multiculturalism and Diversity.
Dr. Hoffman is active in writing and presenting papers on existential and humanistic therapy, clinical practice, historical and philosophical issues in psychology, and spiritual issues in psychotherapy. Dr. Hoffman regularly travels to China and is interested in East-West dialogues on psychology.
In addition to his academic work, Dr. Hoffman maintains a small private practice in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado. He provides individual and couples therapy as well as providing supervision and consultation.
