A licensed clinical psychologist in Missouri, Vetta Sanders Thompson (PhD, Duke University, 1988) is a professor at the Brown School at Washington University in Saint Louis. She teaches courses in human diversity, health disparities, and evidence based treatments in mental health. Dr. Thompson has conducted research on racial identity, psychosocial implications of race and ethnicity in health communications, access to health services, and determinates of health and mental health disparities. She served as the PI of NIH, PCORI and foundation funded research.
