Dr. Ellen Dwyer

Ellen Dwyer received a PhD in history from Yale University. She is Professor Emeritus in the Departments of Criminal Justice and History at Indiana University-Bloomington.

Dwyer's major areas of research include the history of psychiatry in the United States and the 20th-century history of neurology.

She also is interested in the intersection of law and psychiatry and has taught a number of courses on that topic.
