Vanessa Edkins is an associate professor of psychology at Florida Institute of Technology, where she currently serves as the program chair for the undergraduate psychology program and teaches in the forensic psychology bachelor's degree program. She received her PhD from the University of Kansas, where she studied social psychology, with an emphasis in legal psychology. Her teaching covers courses in victimology, child advocacy, legal psychology, forensic psychology, and research methods and statistics. Dr. Edkins's areas of research include juror decision making, plea bargaining, discrimination in the justice system, and the relationships between child sexual offenders and their wives/girlfriends.
