Mary V. Spiers, PhD, is an associate professor of psychology in the Department of Psychology at Drexel University and a clinical psychologist specializing in neuropsychology. Dr. Spiers's interests are in several areas: (a) everyday problems of memory; (b) women's health psychology; (c) individual differences in neuropsychological functioning related to sex and gender; and (d) the portrayal of neuropsychological issues in popular film. As both a neuropsychologist and a screenwriter she is interested in the manner in which neurological problems are depicted in the context of story.
