Dr. James Atkison

James Atkison received his BA from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2004 and is nearing completion of his MA in counseling psychology from the same university and will be preparing for licensure. He has been a teaching assistant for two semesters in its evolutionary psychology class. He plans to continue his education through a doctorate program with an emphasis on teaching and experimentation. He has a strong interest in coalitional aggression and looking at the causes of war. His interests include working with soldiers returning from war zones that have been inflicted with PTSD and using video games to look at personality development. He is also interested in Jungian psychology and how symbols affect our lives. He is currently married to his loving wife, Kim.
