Ngoc H. Bui taught full-time at Metropolitan Community College in Elkhorn, Nebraska, before joining the faculty at the University of La Verne in 2002, where she is now a tenured associate professor. Dr. Bui is currently serving as Psi Chi International Honor Society chapter adviser. She teaches a variety of courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including social psychology and principles of college teaching for graduate students.

Dr. Bui trained as a social psychologist at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her research interests include the scholarship of teaching and learning, specifically academic procrastination and improving student learning, and social cognition as it relates to body image and ethnic identity.
