Dr. Daniel Keyes teaches English and media studies at University of British Columbia (UBC), Okanagan, where he is an associate professor. His research is primarily in media and performance and is informed by his dissertation on the performance of testimonials on daytime talk shows in the mid-1990s. His most recent research efforts focus on the problematic expressions of cultural nationalism in 1950s theater production in the interior of British Columbia, Canada. He is an associate of the UBC Centre for Culture, Identity, and Education (CCIE) at UBC Vancouver.
