Eric Turkheimer is professor of psychology and director of clinical training at the University of Virginia, where he has held a position since 1986. He received his BA from Haverford College under the mentorship of Doug Davis, and his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin, where he worked with Lee Willerman and John C. Loehlin.

Dr. Turkheimer's research involves theoretical, quantitative, and empirical aspects of the genetics of behavior, especially as it applies to normal developmental processes in families. He also conducts research on the structure of personality and personality disorders, and on ethnic and racial differences in the assessment of anxiety disorders.
