Dr. Edward Cumella
Edward J. Cumella, PhD, is a professor of graduate psychology at Kaplan University. He teaches various graduate-level classes and advises master's theses. He maintains an active research agenda.
Until 2009, Dr. Cumella was executive director of Remuda Ranch Programs for Eating Disorders, the nation's largest inpatient facility for the treatment of women and girls with eating disorders. Dr. Cumella has published and spoken widely throughout North America on eating disorders and related topics. He is frequently interviewed by the media as an eating disorder expert, including recent interviews with ABC, CBS, FOX, The Discovery Channel, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The New Yorker Magazine. Dr. Cumella has been a practitioner and instructor in the mental health field for nearly 30 years.
