Dr. David Pittenger
David J. Pittenger, PhD, is currently the associate vice president for Outreach and Continuing Education and dean of the graduate college at Marshall University. Previously, he was professor and head of the department of psychology at UTC. His primary scholarly interests are learning and motivation, statistics and research methods, psychometrics, ethics, and the teaching of psychology. He has received several awards for his teaching, including the Teaching Excellence Award and the Early Career Award from Division 2 of the American Psychological Association, which he received in 1987. He is a coauthor of Fundamentals of Behavioral Statistics and the author of Behavioral Research Methods and Analysis.
