Dr. Mitchell Earleywine

Mitch Earleywine, PhD, is associate professor of clinical psychology at the University of Albany in New York, where he teaches courses on drugs and human behavior, substance abuse treatment, and clinical research methods. He has received 10 teaching commendations, including the coveted General Education Teaching Award. He received a BA in psychology from Columbia University in the City of New York and a PhD from Indiana University. His research has been funded by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, the Alcoholic Beverage Medical Research Foundation, and the Marijuana Policy Project. He has more than 60 publications on measurement, drug use, and personality, including the book Understanding Marijuana (Oxford University Press, 2002).
